I’m Maria, the proud founder of Maria’s Coquito and Sweets.

I’m a proud Latina of Ecuadorian, Mexican, and Puerto Rican descent, but my heart and roots were shaped in Puerto Rico, where I was raised with the beautiful traditions of the Island of Enchantment.

Every holiday season, Coquito was more than just a drink—it was a celebration of family, love, and culture. When I moved to New York, I found myself longing for the warmth, flavors, and traditions of home. That’s when I decided to bring a piece of Puerto Rico with me—and so, Maria’s Coquito and Sweets was born.

Each sip of my Coquito is a tribute to my heritage and a reminder of the island’s spirit—rich, warm, and full of love. I’m honored to share that joy with you, one bottle and one sweet treat at a time!
